Levantamento florístico do estrato herbáceo e macrófitas aquáticas dos Brejos da Barra, BA

Rural communities in Barra, BA, Brazil, have humid areas with hydromorphic soils and emerging Mauritia flexuosa L.f, locally known as Brejos. The phytophysiognomy seems as palm swamps (or veredas) composed by plant species of Caatinga and Cerrado biomes. We aim to make a floristic survey of the Brejos, detect differences of their compositions and try to identify bioindicator species. We sampled 39 Angiosperm families and 64 species. Fabaceae was the most frequent. We found species from both biomes in similar amounts. There seems to have a relation between the floristic composition and anthropization level of the Brejos. Also, Tonina fluviatilis Aubl., is pointed as a water quality bioindicator.

This is a study of soil seed bank from rural communities (known as Brejos) of the municipality of Barra-BA. We collected a numerical and descriptive data of seedling emergence of soil samples from Banguê, Cachoeira, Ilhota and Saco. We observed a great frequency of Poaceae, which presented the largest number of individuals, following Cyperaceae, Lamiaceae, Fabaceae, and a non-identified specie with similar morphotypes. The seed bank works as regeneration opportunity of the degraded areas nearby the watercourses and springs, thus helping to set conservation goals of the native riparian vegetation.

Levantamento florístico do estrato arbóreo-arbustivo dos Brejos da Barra - BA

The aim of the work was to make tree and shrub floristic survey of the riparian forest in the Brejos of Barra (palm swamps), Bahia, Brazil. The plants reproductive structures were collected along 2015-18 in rainy and dry seasons. We identified 49 Angiosperms families, 83 genus and 132 species. Fabaceae was more frequent with 22 species, followed by Melastomataceae (11 spp.). The predominant plant habit were shrubs with 61 species. Most of the species occurred in more than one site. Therefore, such data are important to understand that ecosystem and plan the next steps to conservation actions.

Investigação de espécie íctica com potencial para bioindicação da presença de agentes genotóxicos no riacho Vereda das Laje, bacia do Rio de Ondas, Oeste da Bahia

Biological monitoring of genotoxics in aquatic environments can be done by bioindication. Therefore, intended to identify an aquatic species with potential for bioindication of genotoxic agents in rivers West of Bahia. For that, fish collections were made (january-february/may-june) (Sisbio Auhorization). The Micronucleus Test – TMN was used in erythrocytes of the fish sampled. In the rainy season 6 species were sampled, but with few small specimens, which made it impossible to inference for the population. In the dry season (n=6 species, 3 different from rainy). From the 6 species of the dry season, it was possible to calculate the frequency of micronulei for 4: Astyanax sp (FO = 0,05 %), Characidium fasciatus (FO=0,02%), Hyphessobrycon sp. (FO=0,06%) and Leporinus taeniatus (FO=0,08%). Of the species analyzed in this phase of the study,none was considered a potential candidate for bioindication of genotoxic agents due to the low frequency of occurrence of micronuclei.

Caracterização dos tricomas e estruturas secretoras de Handroanthus serratifolius (Vahl) S. Grose (Bignoniaceae) ocorrente no Oeste Baiano

The present study objected characterize the secretory structures of Handroanthus serratifolius (Vahl) S. Grose because this structures are able to be used like a diagnostic characteristic for the genera. In H. serratifolius two kinds of trichomes were found: pateliform and peltate trichome. The sinapomorfic character of the specie is the glabre indument present on the leaf.

Galhas entomógenas associadas à flora de uma área do Cerrado na Serra da Bandeira, Barreiras, Oeste da Bahia

The present study aimed to characterize the galls, inducers and associated fauna in a Cerrado area (Serra da Bandeira, Barreiras, Bahia). Galls were collected monthly between August 2017 and July 2018. Forty-eight morphotypes were obtained from twelve botanical families. Leguminosae showed the greatest richness of galls and the super host species was Copaifera sabolicola with 10 morphotypes. The inducers belong to Diptera and Hymenoptera, being Cecidomyiidae (Diptera) the most frequent gallers.

Avaliação microbiológica das superfícies hospitalares do Hospital Municipal Eurico Dutra do município de Barreiras

The objective of this study was to investigate the environmental microbiota of the hospital surfaces of the Municipal Hospital Eurico Dutra in Barreiras (BA), identifying and knowing the antimicrobial susceptibility profile of the microorganisms present in these areas, and to analyze and propose the adequacy of the prevention measures and control of environmental contamination in the hospital units analyzed.

This is an experimental study of pumpkin fruit exudation in which specimens of Cucurbita maxima x Cucurbita moschata hybrids, which were purchased locally, were randomly selected and cut with immersion of their exudates in 0.5% trifluoroacetic acid solution % (v / v) for further molecular characterization and prospection of compounds with antimicrobial activity. From the obtained data, one can apply such knowledge to obtain films of the exudate of cucurbita for diverse applications.

Melastomataceae is the fifth largest family of angiosperms in Brazil. Based on bibliographical consultations, herbarium surveys and botanical collections, it was possible to perform the survey of the species with occurrence in the Ambiental Preservation Area (APA) of Rio de Janeiro. The identification key, illustrations, as well as the morphological description of each one are elaborated. We have thirteen genera in the study area and 22 species, and one of them are considered as new occurrence for the Bahia state.

Copaifera sabulicola is a new species described in the cerrado of the center-west of Bahia. This study investigated the toxicological characteristics and pharmacological potential of C. sabulicola. The acute toxicity of C. sabulicola was evaluated by the OECD class method (423), where it was verified that this plant species is not toxic. Then, using the methods of abdominal writhing induced by acetic acid and nociceptive stimulus induced by formalin, it was verified that C. sabulicola presents analgesic activity. Right after, anti-inflammatory activity was found for C. sabulicola when the extract was tested in the carrageenan-induced paw edema model.

The anticholinesterases are the principal drugs used to treat memory impairment in neurodegenerative disorders. Amburana cearensis (Allema) A. C. Sm. (Fabaceae) is popularly used in the treatment of various diseases. The hydroalcoholic extract of A. cearensis stem bark (EHA) has anticholinesterase activity in vitro. This work investigated the mnemonic activity of EHA in the step-down inhibitory avoidance test with mice submitted to acute oral treatment (100, 300 or 1000 mg/kg), without and with scopolamine-induced amnesia. As well as, the EHA effects on anxiety and locomotor behaviors.

Yeasts are fungi of great biotechnological interest, being Saccharomyces cerevisiae the main species responsible for the alcoholic fermentation in industrial processes. In Brazil this species of yeast is used in ethanol and cachaça production due to its good fermentative efficiency and high resistance to ethanol. Considering the importance of these microorganisms, it is valid the isolation of wild yeasts from the environment seeking to verify their fermentative potential. This work aimed to isolate and cryopreserve yeasts from fermentative and natural environments. A total of 104 isolates were obtained, 80 from fermenting must and 24 from environmental samples, preserved in duplicate, contributing to the establishment of a collection of crops with great biotechnological potential.

Bioprospecção de inibidores antipatogênicos de plantas do cerrado contra Staphylococcus aureus visando a aplicação biotecnológica

The use of antipathogenic compounds has emerged as a new strategy for the control of bacterial infections. Several biological sources are used in the search for antipathogenic compounds. Brazilian cerrado presents a great biodiversity for the prospection of new compounds with biotechnological application. In this project 10 extracts of cerrado plants were tested in order to identify compounds with antipathogenic activity against Staphylococcus aureus. The results showed that the extract of Plantago major L. and Copaifera sabunicola showed promising biological activities against S. aureus.

Associação entre vitamina D e ganho excessivo de peso durante a gestação

Based on the current evidence, it is observed in the last decade, increased volume of studies on the association between obesity and vitamin D deficiency, adverse events to women's health. There is still controversial evidence and little is known about the safe dose for the gestation period. In view of the above, the present study aims to evaluate the influence of maternal body mass index on the serum concentration of vitamin D in pregnant women. A systematic review was carried out with meta-analysis, subsidized by PRISMA norms. To do so, we searched the PubMed / Medline, Web of Science, Scopus, Science Direct, Ovid and Lilacs databases published between December 30, 1990 and June 30, 2018. The descriptors used were: "vitamin D", " "Body mass index", "obesity" and "pregnancy". The eligible articles were read in full, and subsequently collected variable information investigated in a form designed for the collection of the information. According to the eligibility criteria, 2951 studies were identified and 9 were selected to make a systematic review with meta-analysis and a meta-analysis was performed. Pregnant women with obesity and overweight presented a greater chance of vitamin D deficiency and insufficiency, when compared with pregnant women of normal weight. Thus, weight gain during pregnancy needs to be monitored in order to prevent vitamin D deficiency and complications to maternal and neonatal health.

Fatores socioeconômicos e prevalência de sintomas depressivos em gestantes do município de Barreiras, Bahia

We intended to evaluate the prevalence of depression during pregnancy and socioeconomic factors of women attended in Barreiras-BA. We have used structured anamnesis, Edinburgh Scale (EPDS), gestational age calculation by the first trimester ultrasonography or the day of a woman's last menstrual period and socioeconomic evaluation. Sixty-seven participants have been interviewed, in which seven were excluded, totalazing 60 pregnant women. Which 43% had depressive symptoms. The results evidenced the necessity of assistance adequacy through structuring and strengthening the psychosocial care network.

Realidade obstétrica e desafios para implantação da política do parto humanizado em maternidade municipal de Barreiras, Bahia

We intend to evaluate the experience of the childbirth of pregnant women in Barreiras, BA. We used a Questionnaire of Experience and Satisfaction of Childbirth, structured anamnesis and socioeconomic evaluation by the Questionnaire of the Social Work Department of the University of São Paulo at the Basic Health Units and Maternity Hospital. A total of 104 questionnaires were collected, of which 55 were included. Based on our findings, we can highlight the need for health education during prenatal care for men and women, as well as the improvement in the supply and execution of relaxation during the labor period.

The inhibitory activity of six coumarins against glutathione-S-transferase was investigated using molecular docking. The results indicated a great potential of these compounds to inhibit this enzyme considering interaction pattern and binding energies. Suitable pharmacokinetics properties and high drug-likeness score were in silico predicted for coumarins, although mutagenic potential was also predicted. Promising results reinforce that studies should be continued.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the nutritional status of Barreiras elderly. Social and demographic aspects, morbidity and lifestyle profile were evaluated and the Mini Nutritional Assessment was applied. A total of 273 elderly people were enrolled in 20 Family Health Units and 30.8% were malnourished or at risk of malnutrition (MAN), with a mean score of 24.5 (+3.3) among the elderly. The association of nutritional status with sociodemographic and lifestyle aspects points to the need for a multidimensional approach in the attention to the elderly.

The aim of this study was to know the characteristics of the aggressions suffered by women victims of violence in Barreiras (Bahia) between the years 2012 and 2016, generating statistical data that can be used in public policies aimed at preventing and reducing violence against women. A total of 2,188 cases of violence were reported from January 2012 to December 2016. The socio-demographic profile indicates that the woman who is a victim of violence is 30 years-old, single, "parda", housewife, lives in Barreiras and has only completed elementary education. While the aggressor is male and someone known to his victim, acts using any instruments, usually on Sundays and at night, reaching the woman especially in the upper limbs and face. There is a need for more effective public policies and actions, especially focused in the woman with the characteristics specified in this profile, with the objective of clarifying, welcoming and empowering them.

This study aimed to construct the mapping of the main commensality spaces that characterize the conflicts of tradition and modernity in the municipality of Barreiras. It was done through the delimitation of the commensal spaces of the city, from which a key informant was chosen to be interviewed and then the spaces were mapped through the observation of the identities peculiarities of fast and Slow food. The conflicts of tradition and modernity present in the Barreiras food scene are mainly due to the migratory flows that have intensified since the transformation of the city into an attractive pole.

This work aimed to evaluate the repellency potential of plant species obtained from cerrado-caatinga, against Ae. aegypti cultivated in the laboratory. The repellent substances tested were the São Caetano Melão (Momordica charantia) and the Alho Bravo. We obtained in the results of repellency test with the Melon of São Caetano and Alho Bravo 29.6% and 32%, respectively. Considering these results, no repellency was observed for the extracts. However, further studies are needed to obtain new extracts as well as to analyze the repellent potential and the identification of the compound responsible.

This work evaluated the larvicidal activity of the extracts of plants obtained from the Cerrado-Caatinga transition vegetation against Ae. aegypti. The results obtained show that of the extracts used, P. cincinnata presented the best results, obtaining a mortality rate above 50%. The extracts used in larvicidal bioassays demonstrated that they can be used to control Ae. aegypti.

A Darrieus vertical-axis turbine has been developed experimentally to be adapted in building or residential pipes. A variety of airfoil profiles were used for the construction of the device and the one that had the most constant aerodynamic efficiency with the variation of the angle of attack was selected. Subsequently, the turbine was designed in the Inventor Software and the same was printed on PLA on the 3-D printer. Finally, the environment of use of the device was simulated where a rotation of 925, 6 rpm was achieved for a 30 cm column of water.

A Darrieus turbine was simulated in the Ansys Workbench software, evaluating the pressure before and after the flow, considering the static turbine (i.e., as if it were impeding the flow of fluid), we obtain the torque exerted on the blades and the velocity profile through the 500 mm of flow. With these considerations, we evaluated the turbulence after passing through the turbine. Due to the consideration of the static rotor, we then observe each parameter varying from 0º to 120º (varying each 10º) the clockwise rotation of the turbine. It has been noted that from 120° the principle repeats, since the turbine has 3 identical blades.

In this paper are presented results the monitoring of irrigation water quality in banana crop area at Formoso project in the Bom Jesus da Lapa city, Brazil. The parameters of water quality considered in this work were ammoniacal nitrogen (N-NH4+), nitrite (N-NO2-), nitrate (N-NO3-), total phosphorus, dissolved oxygen (OD), pH and total dissolved solids (STD). These are parameters selected from CONAMA resolution 357/2005 of the National Environmental Council.

The objective of the work was to carry out the ecohydrological modeling of habitat availability for the ichthyofauna of the Ondas river, Bahia. The species Hoplerythrinus unitaeniatus and Leporinus piau showed adaptations in areas with low flow rates, while Hoplias malabaricus showed usable area in larger flows. The data can broaden the discussions about the use of ecological flows and the proposal of public policies for the management of water resources.

The objective of this study was to carry out a preliminary study of the main classes of secondary compounds and to evaluate the antioxidant potential of the extracts of the species Copaífera depilis. The results expressed high antioxidant potential of the methanol and hexanic fractions, besides the presence of tannins, phenols, steroids and saponins.

The species Copaifera is widely used by communal medicine, for this reason the present study was carried out a phytochemical study of the essential oils of the fruits and of the fixed oil of C. depilis, in order to obtain the fingerprint of the same in two different schedules. With the GC-MS, tetracontane and 1H-Cycloprop [e] azulene-7-ol, decahydro-1,1,7-trimethyl-4-methylene- [1α- (1α, 4a, 7b, 7a.beta., 7b.alpha.)] In the fixed oil was ascorbic acid L - (+) - 2,6-dihexadecanoate. The use of UV-vis spectroscopy indicated higher antioxidant potential and total phenolic content in fixed oil followed by essential oil (16h).

Based on the theoretical paradigm of ecofeminism, this paper addresses the women social movement called Marcha das Margaridas. Ecofeminists writers, such as Vandana Shiva and Maria Mies, start from a critical perspective of the Western development model, which is dependent on the exploitation and domination of nature. This model reflects the patriarchal paradigm that structures social and political organization in order to subordinate women. Considering the interrelation between nature and women domination, it is possible to remark, on the one hand, that children and women themselves have been more negatively impacted than men by the ecological disasters and by environmental degradation. On the other hand, women were the first one to protest against environmental destruction and to organize themselves to promote alternative development modes based on solidarity and cooperation. The main aim of this work is to analyze the social movement of women Marcha das Margaridas, its foundations and purposes in terms of social development and promotion of autonomy for peasant women, in light of the theoretical assumptions of the ecofeminist paradigm. The methodology adopted in the present work involves the exploratory approach, with the aid of theoretical bibliographical and documentary research.

The physical attributes of the soils cultivated in the western region of Bahia were determined in order to analyze if the recharge process of the Urucuia Aquifer System could be compromised by soil compaction in the recharge areas, due to the management adopted by the farmers. In general, the longer the time without soil mobilization, the higher the soil density values become and the smaller the soil density values become, indicating that the non-mobilization of the soil favors its compaction, making it necessary to use conservation practices to reduce this effect.

It was tested the hypothesis that the no-tillage system favors the infiltration capacity of the predominant soils in the agricultural areas in the West region of the State of Bahia. In the development of this work it was observed that each study area presents a technique of planting that diversifies. The results showed that the stable infiltration rates of the studied soils are able to maintain high levels and favorable to the recharge of the Urucuia Aquifer System. However,this rates are affected by the use of the soil, decreasing with the replacement of the cerrado by crops.

The lowest weight loss was observed when the carrots were stored at 30ºC with leaves of holy grass, as well as, at 3 days there was greater weight loss, then there was a reduction with the passage of time. At 25 and 30 °C with leaves a higher concentration of citric acid was observed, and with the passage of the storage period a significant reduction. The results of this study indicate the high potential of holy grass, which can be considered as an alternative strategy to improve carrot storage life, considering its simplicity and effectiveness in reducing storage costs, reducing weight loss without causing any toxicity to the environment.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the mixed silages of cassava peel and tomato wastes submitted to different dehydration times (0, 4, 24, 60 and 96 h). There was a linear reduction (P<0.05) in the density, effluent and gases losses in the silages. Dehydration of the tomato wastes during 60 and 96 h promoted higher (P<0.05) crude protein contents. It is recommended to ensilage the cassava peel with dehydrated tomato residue for up to 8 hours.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the silk flower silages with the inclusion of mango and tomato wastes (0, 10, 15 e 20% of fresh matter). Maximum effluent production (P<0.05) was observed with the inclusion of 12.3% of mango and tomato wastes. DM, OM and NFC contents of the silages with 10, 15 and 20% inclusion were higher (P<0.05) than the control silage. It is recommended to include 13% of mango and tomato wastes in silk flower silage.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of the inclusion of different levels of mango residue in nature (0, 10, 20 and 30% fresh matter) in the mixed silages of elephant grass and cassava peel. Maximum effluent loss (P <0.05) was observed with the inclusion of 24.3% of mango residue. In the silages with 20 and 30% of mango residue, higher protein contents were observed. The addition of 10.0% of mango residue in nature in elephant grass silage and cassava peel, promotes better forage conservation.

Bioatividade de inseticidas botânicos sobre o pulgão-preto do feijoeiro (Aphis craccivora Koch)

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the insecticidal activity of hydroalcoholic extracts obtained from plant species endemic to the western Bahia region against the Aphis craccivora Koch. Cowpea plants were infested with adult A. craccivora females, twelve days after seeding. Extracts of Xylopia sericea (fruit), Croton conduplicatus (fruit) and Jatropha mutabilis (leaves), at a concentration were used. The efficiency of treatments in the mortality of A. craccivora insects was evaluated in the intervals of 24, 48, 72, 96 and 120 hours, counting the number of live and dead insects. The results indicate that the extracts have a toxic effect on A. craccivora, and the species J. mutabilis showed a greater efficiency in the control of the insect-pest (88.71%), when compared to the species C. conduplicatus (42.63%) and X. sericea (38.56%).

The consumer's right to information is becoming more and more important, so in the elaboration of a food label, there must always be a concern with the consumer and the information must be within the reach of his / her comprehension. Therefore, evaluate the conforming and non-conforming items in the label of food products produced and marketed in the city of Barreiras-BA and other localities in the region. We analyzed 31 product labels found in supermarkets and markets in the city of Barreiras. The candy and honey category presented a higher proportion of non-conforming items (51%). The second category that presented the highest number of nonconforming items was the category of breads, biscuits and the like.

Efeito de nisina sobre a viabilidade de Salmonella Typhimurium cultivada em meio ácido sob temperatura de refrigeração

In this study we evaluated the viability of Salmonella Typhimurium treated with different concentrations of nisin at acidic pH under refrigeration temperature. The greatest reduction in the viability of the pathogen was verified using the highest concentrations of bacteriocin. In view of this, we demonstrated that the low pH conditions under refrigeration temperature can act as sensitizing agents of Salmonella Typhimurium to the action of nisin.

Cancer is one of the diseases responsible for the death of a large numbers of people in the world annually. One of the possible causes of this disease is the deregulation of enzymatic catalytic activity. Cathepsin V is mainly expressed in the thymus, testis and epithelial cornea is one of the main therapeutic targets in the treatment of thymus cancer, since its high concentration is related to the progression of tumors in these tissues. A theoretical study of inhibition of this enzyme through QSAR was performed, obtaining satisfactory values of Q² = 0.666 ± 0.019, R² = 0.721 ± 0.012 and p²pred = 0.679 ± 0.026.

In this work, the synthesis of 5-bromo-2-salicyliden-β-alaninate (Schiff's Base) was carried out through the condensation reaction between 5-bromosalic aldehyde and β-alanine. Following, the product undergoes a complexation process with Cu(II) ion. Infrared spectra and changes in the crystalline structure of the solids and their colorations indicate the complex formation. Based on the results, a structure for the complex was proposed, which contains a Cu(II) ion in the center, coordinated with 5-bromo-2-salicyliden-β-alaninate and a β-alanine fragment (from cleavage of the C=N bond from a second Schiff base).

Utilização de um quimiossensor colorimétrico seletivo para determinação do teor de cobre em cachaça por espectrofotometria UV-Vis

Cachaça is the most consumed distilled beverage among Brazilians, being mainly produced in copper alembics. During the distillation step, copper undergoes a process of oxidation and ends up contaminating the beverage. Brazilian legislation permits up to 5 mg L-1 of copper in the cachaça, determined by atomic absorption spectrometry. However, in recent years, the use of colorimetric chemosensors for the determination of metal ions has been highlighted. Thus, in this work was demonstrated the applicability of a new Schiff base, 5-bromo-2-salicyliden-beta-alaninate, as a colorimetric chemosensor for spectrophotometric determination of copper(II) in a sample of artisanal cachaça, whose content was 0.53 mg L-1, which is in compliance with current legislation. The proposed method is selective, simple, fast and low cost, avoiding sample preparation and sophisticated equipment.

Due to the population growth, the consumption of these cultivars as direct food, and indirect, are increasing and methodologies are used more and more. cultivation using chemical and phytosanitary aggravators by leaf area and soil, causing an increase in the concentration of elements that are not essential for the development of the plant, many of which may be detrimental to both its own and human health. With this, the chemical analysis, enters as a major protagonist determination of these concentrations employing, methodologies and procedures of chemometric analysis, in which these can be improved, increasing its efficiency.

In this work, attempts are made to synthesize and characterize a Schiff base derived from the condensation of dithioxamide with 5-bromo-1-salicylaldehyde. There were several reaction options in order to reach the product by varying the temperature parameters, and the reaction of fused reactants and use of water solvent of the base, which contradicts the data found in the literature.

This work aimed to perform the synthesis and characterization of catalysts based on boiler ash (AB) modified with vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) and / or copper (II) oxide (CuO). Were prepared catalysts containing 5 and 10% V2O5/AB; 0.5% CuO - 5% V2O5/AB and, 1.0% CuO - 10% V2O5/AB. XRD data indicated the formation of silica, calcium oxide and carbonate in AB, being also evidenced in the FTIR spectrum of AB samples pure and modified (V2O5/CC and CuO- V2O5/AB). These data pointed to the dispersion of superficial V2O5 species and / or strong interaction with AB.

A study of the photoionization cross section (PCS) influence on the optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) intensity of LiF is being presented. The PCS of LiF was calculated from the analytical equation proposed by Lima et al [1], the magnitude is in order to 1023 m2. Experimental data of OSL intensity were also obtained, in partnership with the IPEN-USP; these data show how the intensity of the luminescent signal of the LiF decays with time. In addition, an optimization routine to solve the rate equations describing this electron-hole recombination process has been implemented in the Scilab.

A construção da linguagem algébrica do 6º ao 9º ando do ensino fundamental

The objective of this research was to investigate students' level of understanding of algebraic language in grades 6 through 9 of Elementary School. The State of Art was constituted on the theme: algebraic thought in Elementary Education and Study of the Matrix of Reference for elaboration of the Brazil Proof, with identification of the descriptors. In the simulations proposed, the groups of the 8th year of the municipal school system were identified, two items referring to algebraic thinking. The general analysis of the results of the simulations indicated that in descriptor 30, of the 1416 students who performed the simulation, only 20% matched item 01 and in descriptor 33 only 25% matched item 02. The qualitative analysis of the records written in 203 notebooks demonstrated the inadequate construction of algebraic language by students. It is indicated the continuity of the research, together with the schools of the municipal school network.

Infiltration is the process where water penetrates the soil vertically from its surface. In order to determine the infiltration capacity of the soils of the Rio de Ondas basin by the concentric ring infiltrator method. In general, soils of the Rio de Ondas Basin presented high values of infiltration, and the predominant characteristic that influences these results is the sandy texture, which provides a greater volume of macropores and, consequently, a greater hydraulic conductivity.

The study area is located in São Desidério, western portion of Bahia state. Two geological units appear in this area: The Bambuí Group (São Francisco Basin) and the Urucuia Group (Sanfranscicana Basin). The Bambuí Group is composed by Serra da Mamona and São Desidério Formations. Motivated by the few studies of the western portion of the São Francisco Basin, this work aimed to perform a preliminary mapping of detail for the elaboration of a lithostratigraphic stacking and geological section for the São Desidério region. The study was divided in three stages of work, where bibliographical surveys, geoprocessing techniques, field structural data collection, and data processing were carried out. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that the drainage network of the São Desidério region is tectonically controlled, and possibly this region was affected by two tectonic events: one of ductile character, which generated the folds; and the other of a rhetorical character, which generated the system of failures.

The study area is the Boa Vista sheet, located in south of São Desidério city (BA), and is geologically located in São Francisco Sedimentary Basin., The region rocks are important because it hold informations about geotectonics framework of the Neoproterozoic and Cretaceous period. Therefore, this work proposes analysis of structural data collected in the field and information obtained with geoprocessing techniques, with the objective of interpreting the structural control over the drainage and relief network, besides the elaboration of lithostratigraphic stacking of the rocks, a representative geological section and a pre-eliminate geological map. However, the method of the drainage lineages interpretation proved to be very efficient and have become valuable for the final geological map interpretation when combined with the geological section and lithostratigraphic stacking.
