Estudo das ondas planetárias e seus efeitos sobre a aeroluminescência

In this study, we investigated the nature of periodic variations in the MLT airglow emissions simulated with General Circulations Model (GCM) of the Kyushu University. We found 3-4 days oscillations in the OH(6-2), O2b(0-1) and OI557.7nm airglow emissions in the equatorial region. Spectral analysis evidences the superposition of several wave modes with distinct periods and zonal wavenumbers, with eastward moving components dominating the spectrum.
