Resumo

In this study, we investigated the 6.5-day planetary wave activity in the MLT from experimental measurements and numerical simulations performed with General Circulation Model (GCM) from Kyushu University. The results show that, in spite of presenting some discrepancies, the model reproduces relatively well the 6.5-day planetary wave activity observed in the experimental measurements. On the other hand, model amplitudes are systematically lower than those inferred from the measurements.
