Análise fitoquímica da espécie Plantago Major L. (Transagem)

Resumo

 In research by active substances of plants, knowledge of folk medicine is very important.  Plantago major is a herbaceous plant known as transagem, spontaneously occurs in regions of temperate or subtropical climate, being easily grown in Brazil. By folk medicine is used in the treatment of bronchitis, gastritis and diarrhea, but there are few scientific studies that prove biological activity and identify the responsible compounds for biological activity, in order to ensure safety and effectiveness. In the direction, this work made ​​an identification of the main classes and isolated the majority compounds from ethanol extracts of leaves and roots.
