Associação entre asma e concentrações de vitamina D

Resumo

The objective of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to summarize the evidence from epidemiological studies of vitamin D asthma and vitamin D deficiency and insufficiency. Methods: Pertinent studies were identified by searching of Pubmed, Web of Science, Scopus, Science Direct and Lilacs. The prevalence ratio, PR (95% CI) of asthma for vitamin D deficiency was 1.34 (1.12 to 1.61)  and   insufficiency was 1.09 (95% CI= 0.85 to 1.41).  Results from this meta-analysis suggested that asthma might increase  the prevalence of vitamin D deficiency.
