Resumo

The cultural identities of the traditional communities at the Ondas River are justified according to the way of living, their relationship with the natural environment and their visions about the place. Land and river become the main symbolic elements, where cultural interactions and manifestations occur, being appropriated by groups with singular or distinct ideals.
