Resumo

This work aims to propose a substituent of titanium

dioxide (TiO2) in civil construction paints, the chosen material will be constituted from a zeolite. The first method of zeolite synthesis was performed using the reagents in 5:3:12 molar ratios, respectively. This material was characterized as quartz by the peak in 26.62ºq in the diffractogram of X-ray. The second method of zeolite synthesis was performed using the reagents in the 0.4:1.3:3 molar ratios respectively and characterized using FT-IR. The presence of bands 443,

707.587 cm-1 characterize the material as a Sodalite.
