The treatments did not interfere significantly on all variables analyzed. Roots coated with 5% manioc starch + 1.0% essential oil and 0.5% essential oil aqueous solution conditioned at 10 °C showed lower mass loss, being an alternative to be adopted for the purpose of prolonging the useful life of carrots and reducing the loss of mass.
