Análise do banco de sementes nos Brejos da Barra - BA

Resumo

This is a study of soil seed bank from rural communities (known as Brejos) of the municipality of Barra-BA. We collected a numerical and descriptive data of seedling emergence of soil samples from Banguê, Cachoeira, Ilhota and Saco. We observed a great frequency of Poaceae, which presented the largest number of individuals, following Cyperaceae, Lamiaceae, Fabaceae, and a non-identified specie with similar morphotypes. The seed bank works as regeneration opportunity of the degraded areas nearby the watercourses and springs, thus helping to set conservation goals of the native riparian vegetation.
