Diversidade e taxonomia de Melastomataceae na Área de Preservação Ambiental (APA) do Rio de Janeiro, Barreiras, Bahia
Resumo
Melastomataceae is the fifth largest family of angiosperms in Brazil. Based on bibliographical consultations, herbarium surveys and botanical collections, it was possible to perform the survey of the species with occurrence in the Ambiental Preservation Area (APA) of Rio de Janeiro. The identification key, illustrations, as well as the morphological description of each one are elaborated. We have thirteen genera in the study area and 22 species, and one of them are considered as new occurrence for the Bahia state.
